When Jessica contacted me about photographing her wedding in Lexington this coming summer I was excited. When I found out that she & Jeff live in Brooklyn, NY and would be in town about the same time I was visiting the area, I was ecstatic... it meant we could photograph their engagement session in the Big Apple. It doesn't happen often, but when plans like this work, it's kismet.
We met at the Brooklyn Bridge Park on a gloomy December day. Even the the skies were grey, we were still able to get some really nice skyline photos. I had so much fun photographing Jessica & Jeff in such a vibrant place. The hustle and bustle of being in a large metropolis really added a lot of energy to the experience.
While both transplants to New York, they come from very different areas... Jessica from Kentucky and Jeff from Boston. Only a place like Brooklyn could have led them to each other. They met through friends at a concert and have been together ever since.
Jeff has to win the award for one of the most romantic proposals possible. One of the items on Jessica's New York bucket list was to visit the Gramercy Park... something only residents of the area are allowed access to do. After learning that he could borrow a key to the Park by staying in the Gramercy Hotel, he booked a room and proposed in the park.
Congratulations Jessica & Jeff! I can't wait for your wedding in 2016.
