After meeting Amy & Blake at their engagement session, I was really excited about photographing them again at their wedding. They have such an infectious joy. Even the off-and-on rain couldn't phase their happiness.
Their wedding was held at the Farmington Plantation in Louisville, KY. It features a historic house, gorgeous gardens, and giant fields all tucked away off of Bardstown Road. Driving up to it was like entering a secret world in the middle of urban Louisville.
The rain stopped just in time for the ceremony. Then the thunder started right at the end of the vows... luckily the down pour didn't start until after Amy & Blake made it back into the house.
We managed to sneak away from their reception to take some couple portraits during the twilight hours. Amy & Blake were having so much fun, they even did cartwheels in their formal attire.
Congratulations to the newly weds! We wish Amy & Blake a beautiful life to follow their beautiful wedding.
