I was thrilled when Paige and Henry asked me to be their wedding photographer. I met Paige this time last year when she joined Fayette Alliance (a land-use advocacy I work at when I'm not photographing weddings) as our Development Director. This engagement session was a lot of fun because I got to see how Henry really brings out her playful side. They compliment one another so well.
We met at Shaker Village for their engagement session this fall and it was beautiful. Paige & Henry were total troopers when I asked them to sit in a patch of weeds I had stomped down, and the end result was some stunning photos.
Henry bought Paige's engagement ring a while before he actually asked her to marry him. Keeping it at work kept it a surprise, and also meant he could look at it when he wanted to, just happy at the thought of marrying her. Then one night, after rushing home to pick Henry up, thinking they were late for their dinner reservation at Holly Hill Inn, Paige was surprised to find Henry down on one knee asking for her hand. Snacks, champagne, a quiet moment between the two of them, and a dinner reservation that was an hour later than he'd originally told her, all made for the perfect engagement plan.
Congratulations Paige & Henry! I'm looking forward to your winter wedding!
