We started Sam and Vince's engagement session at the Arboretum. One of the first things I noticed about the two of them was how they couldn't stop smiling at each other. These are two people clearly in love.
Sam and Vince connected on Match.com. After messaging back and forth they set up their first date, dinner at Sal Good. They ended the night eating ice cream while sitting on a bench and talking until 1 in the morning. Sam's mom was worried and kept calling to check on him.
We had originally planned to get ice cream for their photo session, but the ice cream shops near Triangle Park were all unexpectedly closed. I'm so glad we were able to find substitute popsicles, because these photos might be some of my favorite ever.
Vince proposed to Sam last year on the Fourth of July. For several months beforehand, Vince would pretend to pop the question at random times. When he actually did propose, Sam didn't believe it was happening until he opened the ring box. Once she realized he was asking for real, she said yes.
Congratulations Sam and Vince! I'm excited for your wedding next year. Check out the rest of the photos below.
