Jessica and Matt planned their wedding for a Friday evening at the Christ the Church Cathedral in downtown Lexington. The small chapel was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding. I met up with Jessica first as she was getting ready with her mom and sister.
One of the things I love about weddings is getting to see all the details. Jessica had some of the most beautiful details I've seen. The photo above represents three generations of bridal accessories - The veil was her mother's, the bracelet her grandmother's, and the earings are her's.
When I first met Jessica and Matt at their engagement session, I was struck by how easy they were with each other. They are clearly a couple that cares deeply for one another, and their excitement to share their lives together was clear as the blue skies on their wedding day.
Even though their wedding was in the small chapel, we were able to sneak in to the large chapel to take some couple portraits. There is something so beautiful about the traditional church with the original boxed pews.
Matt and Jessica's reception was essentially a giant dinner party at Sabio with all of their closest friends. Instead of breaking it down on the dance floor they had an intimate evening filled with toasts, laughter, and incredible food. Congratulations Matt & Jessica! I'm glad you included me in your wedding day!
