The day I photographed Ashley & Andre's engagement session was a day filled of photo adventures for me from a sunrise boudoir session to their engagement shoot during the golden hour of sunset. It was a truly perfect way to end an incredible day.
Falling Rock Quarry is a gorgeous setting for an engagement shoot, the rocky cliffs and clear water lend themselves nicely to some pretty great pictures. I only wish we had picked a week night instead to avoid the crowds on the weekends.
Ashley & Andre have been together for six and a half years. They met at a party, she was in high school and he had just started college. The first thing Andre noticed was Ashley's sassy attitude. While I was photographing them I noticed how silly they are with each other. I think it takes real confidence in a relationship to goof off together.
Andre proposed to Ashley this past Christmas. She had been asking for a new set of skis so when ski shaped presents were put out under the tree, she figured that's what was in store. Andre, in true sneaky fashion, had wrapped up her old set and in the box of boots, hidden a ring among a bed of roses. Ashley was surprised and more than happy to receive the ring instead of new skis.
Congratulations Ashley & Andre! I'm looking forward to photographing your wedding next year.
